Sammy

Young  -  Male  -  Brown Tabby

Sammy needs a seasoned human, who is willing to patiently work with him to bring him out of his shell. He really doesn't know if he can trust humans, because he was abandoned out in the cold, cruel world, and he was being beaten up by other strays. We don't know anything else about his history.

A good Samaritan saw what was happening to him, phoned us requesting we take him in, and we said, "Bring him!" Sammy was quite shy for the first few weeks at the Sanctuary. When he was ready, we opened the crate door so he could come and go as he wished, but he stayed in the crate for days! Eventually, his curiosity got the better of him, and Sammy ventured out into the "kitten room," where he allowed us to approach and pet him.

He's a very quiet, sweet boy. We've not tested him with a dog, and he'd be much more comfortable with a very gentle, older child. He seeks comfort with several of our other cats.
