Ella

Senior - Female - Large - Gray/Blue/Silver

Ella had been tossed around before arriving at TLCR. She was adopted from Tampa Animal Services, but was returned through no fault of her own. Her life was again in danger at Animal Services. We are so happy we were able to save this sweet girl. Actually, we've had to save Ella more than once - she was an escape artist when she arrived and returned injured on several occasions. Finally, we have her content to be inside only. But we still keep an eye on her!

Ella has learned to tolerate a FEW of the other cats here, and only if they keep their distance. She would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She enjoys the company of her foster mom's 70 lb. dog, but we are unsure if she would tolerate small dogs. She loves to have her belly rubbed - and will lay in front of you on her back, talking and rolling around to get you to oblige.

She tends to nip when overstimulated, so young children would not be a good match. Although she has stopped looking to go out, she on occasion heads for the door so would need to be watched to ensure she stays inside.

She suffered from and was operated on for bladder stones two years ago. She requires a prescription cat food to keep her stone-free. Otherwise, she is in good health.

Ella has the most gorgeous green eyes, encircled with white, the cutest pink nose, and a beautiful coat pattern of swirls. She is very sweet. If her story has touched your heart but you cannot adopt her, perhaps you could sponsor Ella.

Good in a home with dogs.
Prefers a home without children or other cats.
